Social movements and repression – trends and strategies

Social movements around the world continue to fight for their causes.  At the same time, repression is increasing in a more and more authoritarian world. While we work in different contexts, many of the things we face are similar across countries and movements.

On September 19th, 2026, Green Legal Impact and Movement Hub invite representatives from movements around Europe to join us for a day (9:30 am – 6 pm) of discussion on some of the pertinent issues for antirepression work. We want to come together and exchange perspectives on the different strategies wo follow in response to the increasing repression of state authorities against social movements. This event is for you if you work on anti-repression in some capacity and are looking for a place for peer-learning and exchange on the topics on the agenda.
